ACTIVITIES

Activities

Queenstown activities are centered around adventure, but there's a lot to do if you love nature minus the thrills. If you're feeling adventurous, Skyline Queenstown has a range of exciting activities, including gondola rides, hiking trails and luge rides. AJ Hackett offers bungy jumping – another must-do! Shotover Jet winds through spectacular rocky canyons on a breathtaking journey.

For a relaxing late afternoon, take the TSS Earnslaw Steamship out to Walter Peak station for the best dinner selection that you'll find anywhere in NZ.

LOCAL EATS

Local Eats

Have a meal at vKnow Restaurant, which is within 3 minutes walking distance. We consider that it is easier for guests arriving to have their first meal with Danny and his team on the first night. Nest Kitchen + Bar, is located at the Kamana Lakehouse, an easy 1 minute walk away. It features floor-to-ceiling windows and lovely views. Mediterranean classics, a generous selection of wines and whiskeys are available. Ideal for breakfast or dinner. Chur Fish and Chips has a great selection of takeaway foods.

We also recommend that you obtain your groceries from the Eight To Late Foodcentre or the FreshChoice supermarket. If you have more specific culinary items then we recommend that you go to Raewards Fresh Supermarket, as they have the best selection of foods to choose from, including savouries, cheeses, antipasto pre-dinners, ploughman's lunches/light meals, sweets and fresh fruit platters.

VINEYARDS

Vineyards

Queenstown has no shortage of vineyards, but our top recommendation is Gibbston Valley Winery. Head out there to try their cheesery, sample some of their wines in their wine tasting area, and then book to head back for a meal with them – one for lunch and then another day for dinner.

Chard Farm is a small family owned winery located close to Queenstown. They specialise in the production of the finest cool climate wines, which are to be enjoyed with good food and conversation.

Located in the beautiful valley of vines, Peregrine Wines offers an exceptionally unique experience. They offer peaceful contemplation, alfresco dining and tastings.

At Amisfield Lake Hayes Winery, share in their passion for wine and food and ensure your experience is as memorable as the dramatic landscape.
